The Blessing Japan:

Sign Language Edition

We are thankful to be able to release "The Blessing Japan Official Japanese Translation: Sign Language Edition" with the help of eight sign language interpreters—both hearing and deaf. According to the national census, the number of deaf people in Japan is approximately 343,000 for those aged 18 and over, and 15,800 for those under the age of 18. This means at least three out of 1000 people are hearing impaired in Japan! May this song inspire many more Christians to learn sign language to share the love of Jesus and cause an increase in the number of Christian churches where both deaf and hearing people can freely worship the Lord together. Our prayer is to also encourage the deaf, sign language interpreters, and support groups in Japan who are petitioning for sign language to be recognized as an official Japanese language through the enactment of the Sign Language Law.
